Crafted by Rene Lalique, this solid bronze plaque was presented to participants of the first Targa Florio, held on 1906. Image on relief depicting the winning Itala 35/40hp as driven to victory by Alessandro Cagno. Still in its original scarlet velvet and silk-lined brown leather presentation case. With only 10 participants, it is consider to be 1 of only 10 plaques…

Bronze plaque marked LALIQUE and BRONZE with correct hallmark, in very good to excellent condition. Case with scratches on leather. Plaque measures 55mm x 40mm; case measures 75mm x 60mm aprox.
