Description
Exquisite early twentieth-century automotive history meets the pinnacle of classic European silversmithing in this magnificent scale representation of a 1907 Renault. This rare collector’s desk piece was meticulously crafted by the renowned Spanish silversmith firm Silver Gena, offering a perfect fusion of fine art and motoring passion.
The centerpiece of this work is a finely detailed miniature capturing the elegant, regal contours and mechanical essence of the iconic 1907 Renault town car. The automobile is sculpted in fine .915 silver, carrying an approximate silver weight of 100 to 120 grams. Reflecting its authentic heritage, the model bears the official Silver Gena maker’s mark alongside the historic Spanish star hallmark, which certifies its manufacture in Spain between the years 1934 and 1988.
The silver automobile measures 9 centimeters in length by 5 centimeters in height and is permanently mounted atop a premium block of Negro Marquina marble. This solid base, measuring 11.5 by 8 centimeters with a thickness of 2 centimeters, provides a dramatic contrast with its deep black hue and striking, natural white veining. To complete its presentation, a dedicated silver plaque is flawlessly integrated into the side of the marble base, bearing the crisp inscription RENAULT 1907.
An exceptional executive desk accent, library centerpiece, or addition to a dedicated automobilia showcase, this sculpture stands out for its superior casting quality and historical accuracy. It represents a timeless investment for the discerning classic car enthusiast and the collector of rare European silver.
